Welcome to the official web site of the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association. I hope you'll be a frequent visitor to the site!

The Association serves as an official liaison between AP Member Stations and the Mid-Atlantic Bureau and its staff in Delaware, Maryland and Washington, DC. The CAPBA Board, comprised of radio and television professionals from the region, meets quarterly to discuss issues of significance to the AP and its members. The board is also responsible for the planning of our annual convention in Ocean City, and other educational and industry-related events.

The crabs are always a big hit at the annual CAPBA Convention in Ocean City.

Congratulations to Peter Muntean, winner of the 2010 CAPBA Scholarship.  Peter will soon be a graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park.  The CAPBA Board hopes the $2,500 scholarship will lead to great things for Peter.

headquarters for the annual CAPBA Convention.  The OC Air Show provided four hours of free entertainment to convention attendees this year.

Thanks to all of you who helped make the 2010 CAPBA Convention a huge success.  This year's auction raised more than $2,700 for our scholarship program.  We've posted the winners of the 2009 CAPBA Awards Contest in the CAPBA Awards Winners section. Check back soon for more photos from the 2010 Convention.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the board members from your region, or contact me directly.

Thank you again for visiting the CAPBA web site!

Best wishes,

Sue Kopen Katcef
